Rule Disclaimer:

The rules and /or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to
establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by
participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.

No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of or compliance with the rules and regulations.
They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant,
spectator or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of the specifications herein or imposed any
further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied
warranty of safety shall result from such alteration of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation from these rules is left
to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

Car Registration:

Pay Card and Car Number will cost $25.00. Pay card must be in owner’s name with Social Security number and address.
There will be no duplication of car numbers. All cars must have registered number on the car.
No purse money will be paid without presentation of Pay Card. A replacement Pay Card is available for 5.00 (with proper
identification).

Any car with a registered the previous will be reserved ONLY through the first two preregistration dates.

No car may run in two classes on the same night.

Winnings not picked up at the completion of each race night will be forfeited.

All registered cars will be given a set of the rules and must agree to read and obey these rules.

Point Structure:

Points will be awarded toward championship. Only drivers of the registered cars will receive points.

No driver will receive points for A & B features.

If a driver runs both A and B feature he will only receive points for A points.

Points will be accrued in drivers name.

Only the top 20 drivers will appear on weekly point sheet.

Feature Line-up:

Top three rows subject to possibly invert start based on pill draw by a fan after all heat races are completed. One draw
affects all feature races.(Exception Limited Modifieds  run straight up with no invert)

Pill #2 Invert first two rows, based on heat finishes
Pill #3 Invert first three rows, based on heat finishes

Racing Flag Rules:

Green – Start of the race. Any car not taking the initial green flag will not be scored.

White – One lap to the finish

Blue/Yellow Flag - 2 spot penalty if you jump the start

Checkered – End of the race

Black – leave the track for repair or disqualification

Green and White Crossed – Halfway point of the race

Red/Yellow – Slow to a pacing pace

All drivers must understand starter’s flags. Failure to obey flags will result in disqualification. Failure to see the flag will not
be considered an excuse. The starter has complete control of the cars while the race is on. His decision is final.

There will no first lap restart because of spin out. If race is red flagged, a restart will follow. All such restarts will go back to
the last completed lap and
be lined up single file.

Any car passing before the green will be penalized two positions,
you will then be shown the blue/yellow flag. Modifieds
will be allow to restart with left front flat only. All other classes will not be allowed to restart with a flat.

On a Red Flag, all cars must stop on the track. No work on the cars will be allowed on the racing surface or inside
guardrails. Cars going into the pits will be line up at the rear.

NOTE: Sprint cars are allowed minor adjustment under red flag conditions. All tire changes, must be done in pit area.

All restarts after one complete lap will be single file with all starts in turn 4. Cars must must be nose to tail, if not, they are
subject to a two-car penalty for each jumped position. Penalty will be issued on next caution or at the end of the race,
which ever happens first. All lap cars will be moved to the back of the line up in the order that they were running.

Any Car Causing a single-car Red/Yellow (Feature race ONLY) (one without contact) will be penalized one (1) lap.

***Single Car Caution Heat race only car will be sent to the pits.***

Any single car causing two (2) red/yellow flags will be sent to the pits for that event.

On a Red or Red/Yellow flag, any event that is 80% complete will be called a completed race except the
Feature event that must be 100% complete.

Any one driver that is displayed the black flag for three laps will forfeit money and points for that event, and could be
subject to fines or suspension.

All cars stopped under a Red/Yellow flag condition and/or cars going into the pit area will start at the rear.         

Any cars not taking the initial green flag will not be allowed to compete in that scheduled race.

Any Car exiting racetrack to the pits during heat races will not be allowed to re-enter race.

Sprint cars are allowed one push off rule. Second push off driver will go to the back of the line-up


General Track Rules:

All components are subject to inspection and approval of inspecting officials. No equipment will be considered as having
been approved by reason of having passed through inspection unobserved.

The Track Promoter reserves the right to change the race program at any time for the improvement of racing.

Where no rule applies, common sense and good judgment will apply.

Everyone entering the pits must sign a release. Anyone under 18 years must have a minors release signed by both parent
in front of track official and notarized. Driver minimum age is at the discretion of track promoter and legal requirements.

Only towing vehicle, trailer and race car allowed in pits. Reserve spots are held until 6:30 PM.

All cars will be checked coming in the pit gate in compliance with the rules and may be checked at anytime by track Officials.

Each car must be able to start on its own power upon entering the pit gate each night.

No hot laps allowed except when track is open for such.

All cars must be in the pits and checked in by 6:30 or start at the rear of the race.

No person allowed on the racing surfaces other than those driving in that event.

Only track personnel allowed in the infield or on the racing surface at anytime, including red and red/yellow flag. Anyone
going to an accident may lose his or her pit pass.

All race cars must assist in packing the track or be subject to penalty.

The starter has the authority to start any event regardless if all cars called to the track are ready or not. Any car that does
take position when called will start at the rear of the field. (Driving multiple classes, driver must notify pit shack about
delay to enter lineup)

Any driver that changes cars will start at the rear of the event that the driver qualified for. (This includes original draw-in)
Driver must notify pit steward of change. Any driver returning to original car will start at the rear of the event.

Any car that cuts inside of the end poles in the infield will lose (1) lap for each offense.

Any car running laps off the racing surface will not be scored.

Any loss of wheels and/or tires (including flats) requires leaving the racing surface immediately. Displaced hoods or other
endangering parts also require leaving the racing surface. (UMP Modified allowed to run on left front flat)

Rupture of a gas tank or loss of fuel requires leaving the racing surface immediately.

Track wrecker will not load any car until race program is completed.

No drinking in the pits. Anyone caught with liquor or beer will be removed from the pits banned for the rest of the year and
loss of all season points. The management reserves the right to check cars or any other personal property upon entering
the pit area.

Any disorderly conduct, including fighting, unsportsmanlike conduct or deliberately running over another race car will be
fine and /or suspended in the following manner:

First offense: Minimum $100.00 fine and/or (1) week suspension
Second offense: Minimum 200.00 fine and/or (2) week suspension.
Retaliation Offense: $250.00 fine, two (2) week suspension and loss of all points for the season

Anyone going to the starter or the scoring tower or arguing in the line up chute during the nights program will be
disqualified for the nights program and forfeit all winning and points for the evening.

The registered car owner shall be sole spokesperson for the car. If owner is not present, the driver is the spokesperson.

In the event of a dispute between drivers, stay in your own pit. Participants caught at another’s pit area will be considered
at fault and will be removed from the pit area. The driver is responsible for his/her crew members.

Refusal of any owner, driver, family or crew member to abide by the set rules and the usual policy of conducting auto races
will be grounds for management to refuse to let such person or car take part in a race.

Any persons involved in a serious infraction of the rules may be suspended at Cowtown Speedway and other racetracks.

Anyone with a lawsuit filed against the track, Promoter, or track official will not be allowed to participate in any event until
the lawsuit is settled.

Continuous development in racing may necessitate changes that we cannot anticipate at the time the rule is written.
Hence, we may update, modify, add to or delete rules as seems fit.

             Insurance:

Insurance is not valid if participant is not signed in on the day of the accident.

Each accident must be reported the night it happened or it will not be paid.

All insurance will be through the Track Promoter.

The Track Promoter is not liable for any claim more than the track insurance covers.

     General Car Safety Rules:

The track reserves the right to revoke racing privileges for any safety violation, whether stated in these rules or not, that
it deems is a threat to the safety of the driver, crews, spectators and employees.

Racing is an inherently dangerous sport. These rules are intended not to inconvenience drivers, but to help make racing
safer for everyone.

In the event of conflicting rules the stricter of the rules will apply. All cars will be inspected for safety by the 8th week of
the season. Serious safety violations may prevent the car’s participation that night and any violation must be corrected by
the start of the next night’s racing.

1.        A 1 or 2 piece fire suit, no more than 3 years old, must be worn by the driver at all times on the track except for
packing. The top must be kept closed during races. Fire rated shoes, neck support and gloves are strongly recommended.
2.        
A helmet, rated as Snell M2000 or SA2000, must be in good condition and must be worn by the driver at all times on
the track except for packing. The chin strap must be used whenever the helmet is on. The SA05 or newer is strongly
recommended.

3.        A full roll cage is required with bars a minimum of 1 ½” diameter x .120” wall tubing. Cage must consist of upright
bars in each corner welded securely to the frame and have full box frame on top. Bars must be braced from top of front
and back uprights to frame and must have a minimum of three bars in driver’s door. All corners must have gussets. The top
loop must be a minimum of 2” above the driver’s helmet.
4.        A 5 or 6 point racing harness, with 3” belts, no more than 2 years old, must be attached to the car frame or roll cage
following the manufacturer’s mounting recommendations. Minimum 3/8” bolts must be used when harness is bolted.
5.        A metal racing seat must be bolted to the frame or roll cage following the manufacturer’s recommendations. Seats
are to bolted a minimum of 2 places in the bottom and 2 places in the back. Minimum 3/8” bolts must be used. A fire rated
seat cushion should be used at all times. Seat must have a padded head rest in line with the center of the driver’s head.
6.        A main battery cutoff switch designed to cut power from the battery to all electrical components of the car and
clearly marked “On” and “Off” must be installed on the roll cage within reach of the driver’s side window opening, and
easily accessible to emergency personnel.
7.        Batteries must be securely mounted in the trunk or engine compartment using metal brackets and bolts to the frame
or roll cage. A bracket specifically marketed for that purpose is recommended. Under no circumstances will bungy cords or
fabric straps be used to secure the battery. Batteries will be allowed in driver’s compartment only if installed in a leak
proof container.
8.        Shock resistant roll bar padding must be installed on all roll bars that the driver’s head may come in contact with.
9.        The windshield area must be covered with an effective screen and/or bars to protect the driver from debris.
10.        All wheels must be secured with 1” lug nuts. 5/8” studs recommended.
11.        Drive shafts must be painted white and have a safety loop around it between the front yolk and half way back from
the transmission, made from chain or a minimum ¾” metal strap.
12.        All ballast weight must be painted white and be securely welded, and/or bolted to the frame or roll cage. No weight
can be mounted above the height of the driver’s shoulders or be mounted behind the driver’s head. Floor pans and trunk
pans must not be used as mounting surfaces for ballast weight.
13.        All lamps, glass and factory chrome trim must be removed.
14.        No radio communications are allowed.
15.        Doors, hoods and deck lids must be bolted and/or welded shut. Bungy cords must not be used to secure any parts
on the car unless specifically authorized by the safety official, tech official or track manager. Hoods and doors must be on
the cars at the start of heat races. They must be on the cars at the start of all other races unless damage in the heat races
prevents their safe use.
16.        Carburetors must have 2 throttle springs installed. A safety toe loop on the accelerator is strongly recommended in
the Bomber class and is required in all other classes.
17.        Modified must have a Lakewood type bell housing.
18.        Window nets are strongly recommended in all classes and are required in the Sims Limited Modified class.
19.        Sprint type window nets or arm restraints are required in all Sprint cars.
20.        Fuel lines installed in the driver’s compartment must be protected by a metal covering effectively preventing the
line from being damaged or leaking into the driver’s compartment. Steel braided line is recommended.
21.        Fuel cells must meet the following requirements:
A. They must be manufactured for racing use and must be in good condition.
B. They must be enclosed in an approved metal case also being in good condition. Jr Bombers and Bombers may use
plastic fuel cells. Metal enclosed cells are strongly recommended in all cars.
C. To prevent spilling fuel, they must have an approved roll over valve in the vent outlet or be vented with         fuel line a
minimum of 6’ long. This line must be securely affixed to the frame and must not extend below the frame but must exit the
trunk.
D. The cap must be in good condition and the cap gasket must prevent leakage. Replacement recommended at the start of
every racing season.
E. They must be mounted to the frame or roll cage with at least 2-2” metal straps. Bolting to the truck pan will not be
accepted.
F. The trunk pan must remain intact but have holes adequate for draining fuel in case of spillage.

Painting

Car must be painted in colors that contrast with number.

Numbers must be 24” high and 4” thick on both side doors, trunk and on top of car.

A 6” number must be on the front and rear of car so the starter and fellow competitors see it.

All cars and their advertising must be clean and in good taste.

Failure to comply may result in disqualification by scorers.

Protests

Only car owner can protest a car and owner must have a car running in a race with the protested car that race that race
night.

Soliciting for contributions for a protest will not be permitted. Any guilty will be suspended.

A written protest with cash must be presented to the Race Director before the feature race begins.

If a car is protested and found to be legal, the protested car will receive the money. If the car is found illegal, the owner
posting the protest will be refunded his money. Any protest track will keep $25.00.

A protested car must be disassembled, by the car owner or pit crew for inspection within 30 minutes after the feature is
over. Failure or refusal to disassemble will result in automatic disqualification. Further, the car will not be admitted until
the reason for disqualification is satisfied. All points and monies for that night will be forfeited if car is found illegal.

Protester must specify the exact item being checked.

Any car found illegal during a tear down is ground for disqualification.

Any car found illegal with a protest will forfeit all winnings, which will be paid back to the remaining positions.

Car owner protesting must remain on track premises during the protest. Protest is void if owner is not present at all times.

All cars must go to scales after the Feature.

The track will decide the cars to be checked after the feature.

NOTE: All cars all classes must have COWTOWN Speedway approved UNALTERED mufflers.
Mufflers shall be 609IMCA style
or three ring mufflers.
